Affordable Hair Restoration for Your Needs

A study published in the journal Clinical Medicine describes the psychological impacts that result when people start losing hair: “Many hair loss sufferers experience feelings of distorted self-image and low self-esteem and may display symptoms of anxiety and depression.”

If you’re dealing with hair loss, you may display symptoms of anxiety, depression, and social phobia.

Depression can lead to an unhappy mood, lack of desire to enjoy activities, sleep disruption, and no energy. Similarly, anxiety can lead to excessive worrying, difficulty in managing feelings or emotions, and heightened tension. In addition, social phobia, such as avoidance behavior, comes from anxiety symptoms and social and economic suffering.

Hair loss can lead to mental and emotional toll on an individual’s confidence and self-esteem, contributing to stress and anxiety.

At The Hair Transplant Center – Virginia, we’ve responded to requests from individuals who want help for treating hair loss with affordable hair restoration that doesn’t sacrifice your mental and financial health or the well-being of your family.

How Can You Make the Most of Your Hair Transplant Sessions?

Quality Matters for Hair Restoration

At The Hair Transplant Center – Virginia, our hair transplant surgeon performs follicular unit extraction (FUE) procedures exclusively with the ATERA, Ellis FUE, and WAW FUE systems.

The ATERA FUE system is a minimally invasive procedure that delivers minute “punch” microscopic grafts measuring less than a millimeter in diameter.

Alternatively, the Ellis hand engine and titanium-tipped punches provide precision comfort and control for our hair restoration surgeon.

The WAW FUE system can enable individuals to achieve an increased number of hairs per graft, decreased transaction rate, fewer scars, and fewer misplaced hair grafts.

Consider how much money you can save by pursuing your hair replacement at The Hair Transplant Center – Virginia. With a high-level center and low overhead costs, the highest possible value of your dollars delivers an exceptional hair restoration surgery experience.

Grafts Versus Follicles: Hair Restoration Pricing

When comparing hair transplant costs, you’ll need to understand the difference in pricing for hair grafts versus follicles. A follicle is an individual hair. A graft involves transplanting a unit to a recipient site on the scalp. Each graft consists of two to three hair follicles.

Many hair transplant surgeons use follicles with a graft along the edge of the hairline and multi-graft follicles in other scalp regions. Some individuals may opt for single-hair grafts in all scalp areas. The number of actual hairs can vary.

For example, 1,000 hairs in single-follicle grafts will yield about 1,000 grafts. However, 1,000 grafts with two follicles per graft deliver approximately 2,000 hairs for transplantation. This amount can result in twice the fullness of hair per area.

Consider the following two examples: Surgeon A can transplant about 1,000 single-follicle grafts valued at approximately $6,000. However, Surgeon B may offer a transplant of 1,000 multi-follicle grafts for $6,000. Study the chart below which provides details for the unit cost using both examples.

Follicular Unit Cost

Surgeon A Surgeon B
1,000 single-follicle grafts 1,000 multi-follicle grafts
Total cost – $6,000 Total cost – $6,000
Unit cost – $6 Unit cost – $6
Cost per follicle – $6 Cost per follicle – $2 (or less)

Note that while the total number of grafts can be the same, you pay less for multi-follicle grafts tha for single-follicle grafts.

How Can You Make the Most of Your Hair Transplant Sessions?

If you are experiencing significant hair loss, you may need to schedule frequent appointments at a hair restoration facility and endure multiple hair transplant sessions. Keep in mind that a single hair loss treatment session lasts approximately eight hours. If the session exceeds eight hours in length, the success rate will diminish due to extended air exposure. Multiple shorter sessions offer more benefits than one extended session.

Number of Grafts Versus Session Length

People generally ask us why we recommend working with fewer grafts compared to our industry competitors.

Longer hair transplant sessions address hair loss issues while the grafts are still being prepped for transplant. However, longer sessions can create a strain for the patient and the doctor or clinician. Our hair restoration team can transplant up to 3,000 grafts on the scalp per session. This capability offers our patients extensive coverage while keeping the procedure safe and achieving high-quality results.

At The Hair Transplant Center – Virginia, we don’t persuade our clients to attain large numbers of hair grafts. With that confidence in mind, you can trust our hair transplant surgeon and the hair restoration team with your hair transplantation procedure.
